SharePoint Saturday Silicon Valley 2013 Recap

A9781430250289-3d_1 Wow, it has been too long since my last post. I have been busy with the final push to publishing my book, “Pro SharePoint 2013 Branding and Responsive Web Development” (Apress June 2013), which is now available for purchase, as well as helping organize and plan SharePoint Saturday Silicon Valley 2013.

SharePoint Saturday Silicon Valley 2013

I must say, SPSSV was a great event, it surpassed my highest expectations. The best numbers we could determine was that there were over 220 people which was a 70% increase over last year. I want to personally thank the other SPSSV committee members that helped plan and organize the day. Thank you to Kelley, Christian, Bob, Pam, Mayank, David, Nate, Jerry, Courtney, Michael, and our volunteers that helped throughout Saturday.

Are you looking for speaker slidedecks? Those will be posted at spsevents.org/city/siliconvalley/SPSSV2013 shortly.

SPSSV-2013-shirt How about the attendee shirt? We ran out of those in minutes, I didn’t expect them to be so popular. I am going to try to get more printed if there are any remaining funds and will bring them to my next events such as SharePoint Fest DC and SPTechCon in Boston. I will also help bring some as prizes at upcoming bay area SharePoint user group meetings including SF SPUG and SV SPUG.

For those of you who attended my session on SharePoint and Responsive Web Design, I hoped that you gained valuable insight. You can also review my slidedeck along with the resources that I recommend below. If you attended Rita Zhang’s session on SharePoint 2013 Search and content rollups that I helped present, you can also find that slidedeck below.

Thanks again everyone and look forward to my upcoming posts on branding SharePoint 2013. My list of posts has grown to be quite long, I just need to find the time to write them.
