SharePoint Saturday Silicon Valley 2016 is just a few days away!

SharePoint Saturday Silicon Valley 2016 is this Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at the Microsoft Office in Mountain View and I couldn’t be more excited. If you haven’t heard of or haven’t attended a SharePoint Saturday, this is a free one-day conference where some of the most influential professionals in SharePoint are speaking and presenting on a variety of Office 365 and SharePoint topics, including Naomi Moneypenny and Sonja Madsen, both Office Servers and Services MVPs.

This year we have a great keynote, split between Chris McNulty, a Product Manager for Microsoft within the Marketing Department in the SharePoint and Office 365 space, and Ross Mistry, Senior Director at the Microsoft Technology Center in Mountain View. After that, we start our one-hour sessions, with two blocks of sessions in the morning and another three blocks in the afternoon. Each block has about four to five sessions with topics all over the Office 365 / SharePoint spectrum.

You would normally have to pay a few thousand dollars for a couple of days of this kind of training, yet this one day conference it is completely free! The best part about this event is that it is community-driven. It’s not for money or anything like that. It’s for the community. Through a number of great sponsors, including Netwoven, Kiefer Consulting, Metalogix and QK Groups, we were able to make this event happen and I am incredibly thankful for that.  Not to mention, there will be a free catered lunch by Microsoft, plenty of free snacks, and a raffle with over $1,000 worth of free prizes!

Also, don’t forget about the SharePint at Tied House Brewery. Every year, to close-out the event, we have an after-party SharePint where everyone can grab a free drink, eat some free appetizers, and talk about the day. The best part is that most of the speakers join us. This is a great time to mingle and make connections in the SharePoint community. Really, this is one of the best opportunities to get your questions answered by some of the most awesome Office 365 and SharePoint experts out there.

And of course, I’m a geek, so I like the idea of coming together for a day and getting to learn about all things Office 365 and SharePoint. If you’re a geek too then let’s all geek out together. I hope to see you there, this Saturday, June 11th at the Microsoft Office in Mountain View! I highly suggest you visit the event website to learn more about the speakers, the sessions, and the event.

I hope to see you there!
